The Chelmsford Neighbourhood Policing Team recently attended the Careers Fair at William De Ferrers Secondary School in South Woodham Ferrers, engaging with students from Years 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Our officers spoke with young people about a range of important topics, including:
- Crime Prevention – practical steps to stay safe in everyday life
- Knife Crime Awareness – understanding the risks and consequences
- Routes into Policing – career opportunities within Essex Police, from frontline roles to specialist teams

These conversations are vital for building trust and inspiring the next generation to consider a career in policing. We also highlighted the importance of community engagement and how young people can play a role in keeping their neighbourhoods safe.
