Community Comes Together for Town Carol Service
On Thursday, 18th December, the Town Carol Service brought festive cheer and unity to the community. The event was attended by the Town Mayor, Cllr. Alan Shearring, his Consort, and the Deputy Town Mayor, Cllr. Lisa Kelly, who joined residents in celebrating the season.
Children from St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Woodville Primary School, Elmwood Primary School, and Trinity St Mary's Primary School filled the venue with joyful carols, creating a heartwarming atmosphere for all in attendance.
The Town Mayor was honoured to deliver a reading from Isaiah 9: 2, 6-7, a passage that reflects hope and peace—perfectly capturing the spirit of the occasion. The service saw an excellent turnout, showcasing the strength and togetherness of the local community during this festive time.
