South Woodham Ferrers Allotments   Marsh Farm Road

South Woodham Ferrers Town Council works in partnership with the Woodham Allotment Association, who manage the day‑to‑day running of the allotment site on Marsh Farm Road. The Town Council oversees the waiting list for new applicants and supports the Association in maintaining a thriving and well‑run community space.

Allotment gardening is extremely popular in the town, and plots are in high demand. The number of plots that become available each year can vary, so applicants are encouraged to join the waiting list as early as possible.

Plot Sizes and Fees

Plots are available as either:

  • Full plots – £50.00 per year*
  • Half plots – £25.00 per year*

These fees help support the upkeep of the site and the services provided to members.

What the Allotments Offer

The Woodham Allotment Association is looking for motivated, committed members who are keen to cultivate and care for their plots. In return, members benefit from:

  • A friendly and supportive allotment community
  • Access to water on site
  • Use of shared tools
  • A seed scheme
  • Annual awards recognising the best‑kept plots

Whether you are an experienced grower or a complete beginner, the allotments offer a rewarding opportunity to grow your own produce, enjoy the outdoors, and be part of a valued local community.
