Message from Chelmsford City Council You can no longer pick up EXTRA rolls of recycling bags for plastics from Champions Manor Hall or South Woodham Ferrers Library. This is to cut down on single-use plastics and to stop recycling bags being misused. However, we will continue to deliver one roll of plastic sacks (52 bags on each roll) to each household in Chelmsford once a year. If residents run out of bags, we are also happy to collect recycling in any non-branded bags, as long as they are made of clear plastic. These can be brought from supermarkets or even re-purpose any clear plastic bags that come with products you buy. Read More...
