Fund to Boost Local Skills & Support Small Businesses
BT Group has launched a new Apprenticeship Fund to support SMEs, charities, and public sector organisations in England. In partnership with training provider Babington, the fund will allocate £4 million over an initial four-year period to help organisations, including the NHS, train new apprentices and upskill existing workforces. The fund will support apprentices aged 22 and older, with a strong emphasis on developing digital skills. The initiative aims to promote local economic growth, reduce the digital divide, and enhance social mobility, potentially benefiting up to 550 apprentices.

Grants to Support Older People Maintain their Independence
Grants of up to £7,000 are available to charities in the U.K to support preventative and early community based intervention programmes that focus on helping older people stay in their own homes and maintain their independence.
The funding is being made available through the Charles Hayward Foundation Small Grants programme and is looking to support projects that: Address isolation and depression in older people through activities like informal daycare or social and recreational programmes | Provide support and assistance for older individuals living in their own homes | Cater to the emotional and practical needs of older caregivers and meet the specific requirements of people with dementia.

Funding Available to Support Vulnerable Energy Consumers
The Ofgem Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme (Energy Redress Scheme) has re-opened for applications, with its largest funding round since the scheme was established. A total of £35 million is available as grants to charities and community energy groups across England, Scotland and Wales can apply for funding to support projects that help households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills support projects that help households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills as well as the development of innovative products and services related to domestic energy use, and carbon emissions reduction projects.

Music Grants for Older People
The registered charity, Concertina makes grants of up to £250 to charitable bodies that provide musical entertainment and related activities for the elderly. The charity is particularly keen to support smaller organisations which might otherwise find it difficult to gain funding. Concertina has made grants to a wide range of charitable organisations in England and Wales. These include funds to many care homes for the elderly to provide musical entertainment for their residents.

War Memorials Grant Scheme
The War Memorials Trust is providing grants for the repair and conservation of free-standing war memorials in England.  These grants are intended to help those who are responsible for the upkeep of war memorials. The grants support the care and preservation of war memorials to a high standard, and to prevent the decay of this important part of our built heritage. Grants will normally be for between 25% and a maximum of 75% of eligible costs. The maximum grant is £5,000 for non-freestanding war memorials while freestanding, non-beneficiary war memorials may be considered up to a maximum grant of £20,000. The fund is open to anyone to apply; individuals or organisations, including councils.

Grants to Improve the Lives of Disadvantaged People
Grants of up to £6,000 are available to registered charities working to improve the wellbeing, welfare and education of children and adults in communities throughout the UK. The funding, which is being made available by the Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation, will support initiatives that: Benefit children and adults particularly those living in socially deprived areas, through education to develop core skills and support wellbeing and mental health | Benefit the wellbeing and welfare of children and adults by preventing or reducing poverty and homelessness in the community | Support the elderly and improve their wellbeing by reducing isolation, helping reduce the effects of Dementia and Alzheimer's and support later life/palliative care

Funding for Road Safety Projects
The Road Safety Trust is accepting applications for funding to support projects and research that aim to improve road safety in the UK. A range of organisations are eligible to apply, including: Registered charities | Local authorities | Police forces | Fire and rescue services | Universities | Not-for-profits | Social enterprises | Community interest companies.
This year, the funding will support projects addressing road safety inequalities, including disparities based on age, disability, health, gender, rurality, and economic wellbeing that affect public safety on UK roads.

Funding to Support Grassroots Community Sport
Pub retailer and brewer Greene King has pledged nearly £350,000 in funding to support grassroots sport within local communities across the UK. Grants of up to £4,000 are available through the Proud To Pitch In Campaign, which raises funding through the sale of Greene King IPA for activities such as football, rugby, cricket, roller hockey or netball. Applications can be made by grassroots and community sports clubs running activities for people aged 18 and over. The fund is particularly focused on sports projects that have a long-term impact.

Funding to Support Disadvantaged Young People and Offenders
Registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, and in exceptional circumstances Community Interest Companies can apply for grants for projects that support offenders and ex-offenders as well as into work and helping specific less popular groups within the criminal justice sector. The funding is being made available through the Weavers' Company. In allocating funding, priority is given to projects that support offenders into work and projects that work with less popular groups in society. A secondary priority is given to supporting projects that work with young people from disadvantaged and socio-economically challenged groups, such as immigrants, to ensure they are given every possible chance to realise their full potential and to participate fully in society.  The Company operates two funding streams: A Small Grants Programme that provides grant of up to £5,000 and A Main Grants programme which has no maximum grant limit. The funding is available for both project and core costs. Applicants must show they have investigated other sources of funding and made plans for future funding.

Funding Towards Data Protection Consultancy Services
The DPO Centre is inviting applications to their Charity and Community Fund which provides charities and not-for-profit organisations with access to their data protection consultancy services at an 80% reduced rate. Applicants will receive support from subject matter experts and data protection professionals to help decrease the potential for compliance failure across their organisation, leading to fewer data breaches. Organisations can apply for funding of up to £10,000 towards a range of consultancy services including data protection training, policy drafting and reviews, data sharing, impact assessments and gap analysis.

Grants to Improve the Quality of Life for Disadvantaged & Vulnerable People
The Hedley Foundation is inviting applications from small- to medium-sized registered charities that help to improve the quality of life of people in the UK, particularly the disadvantaged and vulnerable. The Foundation typically makes grants of up to £5,000 each year for initiatives that benefit the lives of young people, disabled people, elderly people, the terminally ill and otherwise disadvantaged people and their carers. Occasionally larger sums are given to charities where high impact can be achieved.

Funding for Activities to Improve the Lives of the Elderly
Small grants are available to fund projects to improve the lives of the elderly across the UK. Home Instead Charities awards grants for well-being events, activities, or pastimes that prevent social isolation and loneliness among adults over 55.
Eligibility Criteria: Small grass roots organisations can apply for funding up to £50 and small local registered charities can apply for funding up to £1,500.
Applications will also be considered from groups, associations and charities that do not service the over 50s directly but the project they require funding for does, i.e. a local school wishes to hold a special afternoon tea for its local care home residents.

Grants to Increase Employment Opportunities for Disadvantaged Adults
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to registered charities to support projects that equip people (18 or older in order) from disadvantaged groups with the critical life skills necessary to gain employment. Priority will be given to projects that target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups facing major hurdles to employment, especially women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers. The funding is being made available through the Thomas Wall Trust and to be eligible, applicants must: Be a UK charity that has been registered with the Charity Commission for at least 3 years | Be a project or running costs for a charity that equips people (aged 18 and over) with the skills ready for employment | Have an annual turnover of between £25,000 - £500,000

Funding to Support the Lives of Partners of Armed Service Personnel
Grants of between £10,000 and £60,000 are available for projects that find ways to reduce the challenges of service life for partners of serving armed forces personnel, including reservists. The Supporting Partners Programme, funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, aims to improve the support available for service partners and spouses. Projects should look to address one or more of the following outcomes: Improve the mental health and wellbeing of spouses and partners of serving personnel | Raise awareness, including (potential) employers, of the unique challenges spouses and partners can face, and improve access to provision to help overcome these challenges | Identify and address known and emerging gaps in provision for spouses and partners of serving personnel, including spouses and partners who are non-UK nationals | Provide opportunities for spouses and partners to explore new ways of working, upskill and/or change careers.
Applications are accepted from Armed Forces units or bases, charities, community interest companies and universities or colleges in the UK.

Grants to Encourage Participation in the Arts
The Arts Council England has launched a new round of their Creative People and Places National Portfolio Fund. The Fund aims to support arts projects in places where participation in the arts is significantly below the national average. Grants of between £750,000 and £1 million are available to bring creative opportunities to communities in 142 eligible locations not currently engaging with the arts. The Arts Council is keen to encourage long-term collaborations between local communities and arts organisations, museums, libraries and local authorities. Match funding of 15% is required. Activities must be delivered over three years and start on the 1st April 2026.
