ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2)

 

Temporary Closure of Footpath 26, South Woodham Ferrers
Notice is hereby given that from the date specified below, the Essex County Council has temporarily closed to all pedestrians under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), Footpath 26, South Woodham Ferrers, in the City of Chelmsford from its junction with the Track, eastwards along the sea wall for approximately 840 metres.
The closure comes into effect on the 04 September 2024 for 21 days and is required for the safety of the public as there is a breach in the sea wall.
The alternative route is via a permissive track running at the bottom of the sea wall, parallel with the closed section, and vice versa.
Works to repair the sea wall are proposed, the closure will be continued in force by Order under Section 14(1) in due course.
