Do you or your organisation need financial help with a project? The Town Council operate a scheme for making grants to individuals and local organisations which is administered by the Town Council's Finance & Projects  Committee. Applications for £300 or less can be agreed between meetings.

Applicants should note that there is a limited budget each year for this expenditure and advice should be sought from the Town Council prior to submitting an application. There are also certain legal restrictions on whom the Town Council can make grants to and details can be found in the guidelines.

Applications are considered at the Finance & Projects Committee  in March and October meeting each year.

Grants awarded 2025-2026 

Councillors Sherlock, Eley, Pernham-Lake, Knox and Kelly make up the Community Resilience Group.

This group review and update the South Woodham Ferrers Comunnity Emergency Plan every 3 years under the guidance of the Community Safety Lead Officer at the Public Health and Protection Services at Chelmsford City Council.

Rest Centre training is attended by Councillors and Staff.
